The Northeast Vernon County R-1 School District is requesting sealed-bid proposals from qualified waste management providers for dumpster trash collection service at two district locations: the Walker Campus and the Schell City Campus.

The selected contractor will be responsible for:

• Providing and maintaining dumpsters at both campuses

• Regular collection and disposal of solid waste

• Providing additional pickups upon request, if necessary

• Ensuring all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Service Requirements

Bidders must include the following details in their proposals:

• Dumpster sizes available and recommended for each campus

• Proposed pickup frequency (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly)

• Monthly or Yearly service cost per campus

• Cost for additional pickups (if applicable)

• Any additional fees (fuel surcharges, environmental fees, etc.)

• Description of equipment and service reliability

• Proof of licensing and insurance

Contract Terms

• Proposed contract term: 3 years 

• Desired service start date: July 1, 2026

• Payments to be made biannually

Students who qualified for our quarterly reading party had a great time playing a fun game of Charades, while those who qualified for our quarterly behavior party enjoyed playing Pictionary!

Northeast Vernon County R-1 is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and qualified K–12 Music Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop musical skills, appreciation, and creativity through general music classes, choral instruction, and performance opportunities across grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver an engaging music curriculum for students in grades K–12

Teach general music and vocal music as assigned.

Prepare students for concerts, performances, and school events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (required)

Valid Missouri teaching certification/license in Music K–12 (or ability to obtain)

Prior experience teaching music in a school setting (preferred)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Position Details:

Starting Pay: $15.25/hour
Hours: 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred but not required)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients as required
Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
