Notice of Private School Consultation
Intended Audience: Officials of private schools and representatives of parents of parentally-placed private school children with disabilities attending private, parochial or homeschools located within the jurisdiction of the NEVC R-1 school district
An informal meeting will be held on Thursday, April 24th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Northeast Vernon County R-1 Jr/Sr. High School Campus at 216 East Leslie Avenue in Walker, MO.
This meeting will be an opportunity for a meaningful consultation regarding how child find activities will be implemented; the proportionate amount of federal funds available to serve parentally-placed private school students with disabilities; what services may be provided to parentally-placed private school students with disabilities; which private schooled students with disabilities may receive these services; how, where and when these services may be provided, as well as how any provided services will be evaluated. Consultation participants will also be given an opportunity to express their views regarding these issues.
