The Northeast Vernon County R-I School District is accepting applications for a Paraprofessional, grades 7-12, for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position: Grades 7–12 Paraprofessional
Starting Pay: $15.15 per hour
Work Days: 161 days per year
Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Location: Northeast Vernon County Jr./Sr. High School
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to obtain a substitute teacher's certificate.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist teachers and administrators in supporting the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students in grades 7–12. Duties may include:
Providing instructional support to students individually and in small groups
Assisting with classroom management and supervision
Monitoring student progress and participation
Supporting student accommodations and interventions
Performing other duties as assigned by special education teacher and building principal
