Milk Bid Request

2026–2027 School Year

The Northeast Vernon County R-1 School District invites sealed bids for the delivery of milk products for the School Breakfast and Lunch Program for the 2026–2027 school year.

Bid Specifications

The successful bidder shall provide and deliver milk products that meet all federal and state requirements for participation in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Products may include, but are not limited to:

  • 2% White Milk

  • Fat-Free Chocolate Milk

All milk must be fresh, properly refrigerated, and delivered to district-designated locations according to an agreed-upon schedule.

Delivery Requirements

  • Deliveries shall be made to both NEVC Jr/Sr High, Walker, MO, and NEVC Elementary, Schell City, MO, on school days or as otherwise scheduled by the district.

  • Products must meet all USDA, state, and local health standards.

  • The district reserves the right to adjust quantities based on student participation and enrollment.

Buy American Provision

Pursuant to the Buy American provision in the National School Lunch Act (7 CFR Part 210.21(d)), the school district is required to purchase, to the maximum extent practicable, domestic commodities or products.

A “domestic commodity or product” means:

  • An agricultural commodity produced in the United States; or

  • A food product processed in the United States that substantially uses agricultural commodities produced in the United States.

Vendors shall certify compliance with the Buy American provision and must indicate any exceptions within their bid submission.

Bid Submission Requirements

Sealed bids must include:

  • Pricing information

  • Product specifications

  • Delivery schedule

  • Vendor contact information

  • Buy American compliance statement

All bids must be clearly marked on the envelope:

“Milk Bid – 2026–2027 School Year”

Submission Deadline

All sealed bids must be received by June 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Bid Opening and Approval

Bids will be opened on June 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The bids will then be submitted to the Northeast Vernon County R-1 Board of Education for review. Action on the bid will be taken during the Regular Session of the June 18, 2026, Board of Education meeting.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the district.
